Thanks to Friends for statue restoration
The shepherd and shepherdess statues on the upper terrace of Lauderdale House are looking splendid again after a thorough spring clean. The Friends made a substantial contribution to Camden’s cost for the cleaning in line with one of its major aims which is to enhance the beauty of the Park. The works of art are attributed to sculptor John van Nost.
Camden Council Head of Green Spaces writes:
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of Camden Green Spaces to thank the Friends of Waterlow Park for their contribution to the restoration of the Waterlow Park statues. It is really appreciated and will allow our funding for such works across the borough to go that bit further. Please do pass on our thanks to the committee and members as appropriate.
Yours sincerely
