Don’t flout the BBQ ban! Click to see why
Although the autumn rains have come, the 2022 season for BBQs ended on 12 September
Despite the current ban on BBQs due to dangerously parched conditions and the risk of fire a few park users have not got the message that whilst picnics are very welcome anything that involves fire such as a BBQ is most definitely not!
This has not gone unnoticed in the local press with a story in the Ham and High about the dangers of ignoring the ban on BBQs.
If you do see anyone with an active BBQ please tell a member of the park maintenance staff from iDVerde, or contact Community Policing Officers via the Community Safety hub on 020 7974 2915. Should you see a fire which is clearly out of control call the emergency services on 112 (also on 999)
